VIDEO: Two enormous crashes at this year’s Pikes Peak

THIS YEAR’S PIKES Peak hill climb competion has seen two cars have massive accidents in quick succession.

The first sees Jeremy Foley’s highly modified Mitsubishi Evo plummet down the mountain after running wide at the Devil’s Playground section of the 12.42 mile course. Remarkably, it is understood that both he and his co-driver are ok. Watch the video below.

The second crash can be seen in two videos, which give different perspectives of it. The driver is Paul Dallenbach and the alleged cause is a stuck throttle. Again, incredibly, the driver is ok. Watch the videos below.

These incidents serve as a reminders, if we needed them, that motorsport is dangerous not just for drivers but (particularly in the last video) spectators as well, so be careful out there.
